In celebration of The Fox Den, No Waste Cafe's one year anniversary in 2023, customers were prompted to select colors from a massive selection of paint sample chips and leave them with me with an optional name or note. Throughout the two days there were 112 participants, all selecting color palettes and leaving notes unique to the individual - many speaking words of hope, love and togetherness.
Over the past year, each persons’ selections were compiled into a database (below) as well as crafted into a mixed-media tapestry for the shop - maintaining each persons selections while working them together into a singular piece of art (2024). Thanks to all who participated and Patricia and her staff at the Fox Den for letting me facilitate this coming-together of the diverse customers at The Fox Den. Another thank you to Ace Hardware Downtown Fort Collins and other local artists for their material donations.
