My Background
As a little one, I was born into creativity. Art, music, and imagination were sewn into every moment of my upbringing and because of this, my creative eye has become my greatest tool. Design came naturally to me when it came time to move onto higher education and without knowing what I would like best, I accepted a spot in the Colorado State University Interior Architecture program where I spent four years slaving over 3D modelling systems, pieces of trace paper, and pre-packaged salad bags. During year two, a pattern arose where my most passionate outputs were when I had the opportunity to brand an architectural design, business, or project. I quickly found that this was my strength and I enrolled in a second degree in Mutimedia Graphic Design.
From November 2019 to present, I have worked on a team of five for the city of Fort Collins. As a team of experienced graphic designers, we take on the public facing materials for the city and make sure they are on brand, attractive, and true to the message of the city. Some of my work for this government organization can be found on the page “City of Fort Collins”.
Upon receiving my degree I accepted a position as a teacher at Front Range Community College. My messy background has been a journey, but in the end it has allowed me to work on a vastly diverse variety of project types, build an extensive network of individuals, and get involved in beautiful, barrier breaking, soul fulfilling projects with amazing minds.
